Before meeting with Owen at Nalle Custom Homes, we had been working with a different custom home builder for about a year.  In all that time, we never came up with a home design that we truly liked.
Working with the Nalle brothers was like a breath of fresh air.  Owen and Tilghman listened to our wants and needs, and made the design and selection process easy.  In under 3 months, we had a house design that we absolutely loved.
During the building phase of our home, we worked with Lee and Jess.  They both worked hard to ensure that the construction process went smoothly, and to our satisfaction.  We can't forget Natasha, who amazingly kept everything organized and on schedule.

I would like to take this opportunity to say "thank you," again for building my home!!!  I have no doubt God was looking out for me when He provided you to me as my builder.  Everyone has a unique criteria for what they are looking for in a home and in a builder, but I can honestly say I can't imagine having anyone else build another home for me.  Being an older, single woman, all of you treated me with the utmost respect and understanding and made the entire process a joy.  It cannot be easy dealing with different personalities and stressful situations, but you were all exemplary in your handling all different scenarios.  Jesse, as my home was your project, I never had to track you down to return phone calls, deal with any unforeseen situations or answer any of my questions. 

 Going into this I had definite ideas on what I wanted and a certain budget.  Tilghman, you were able to see my vision and understood what I was looking for from the way my lot was cleared and the road put in, to the jewel box home you built for me.  You brought my dream home to fruition and never deviated from the budget unless I asked for something other than what we had discussed.  Your expertise in each step of the process is superb and I know my home will last for many, many years.

Nalle Custom Homes made our first home building experience easy!  We loved the "hands on" attention to detail. Lee was always available throughout the process and communicated to us what to expect and when to expect it.  Sub contractors were very professional  and the Nalle's finish out vendors were very helpful in streamlining the selection process.  From our first meeting with Tilghman, through any paper work and accounting issues with Owen and Natasha, to our 1 year warranty walk through with Andy, our experience was so pleasant. After searching for over a year for the “perfect” home for us, my husband and I decided to build rather than buy an existing home.  That way we could finally have all of the things that we were looking for in a home, but couldn’t seem to find.

Having never built a house before, we did a lot of research and talked to many people about the process. One common theme that kept coming up was the, how shall I phrase this, the difficulty you would experience working with your builder once your project was underway. I am happy to say, that this was never an issue or concern with Nalle Custom Homes. In fact, it was quite the opposite. Tilghman and John were a pleasure to work with.

They did a top notch job in managing the project, both in keeping the project on schedule, keeping me informed of the progress and most importantly, keeping the project on budget.

Our project posed many technical construction challenges, due to it's unusual design. Nalle Custom Homes was able to creatively and cost effectively solve these issues. They always made sure that all phases of work done, was completed to their high expectations, both technically correct as well as aesthetically pleasing.

In the end, the highest praise I can give them is this: If I were going to build another house , I would hire them again without any hesitation.

Working with everyone at Nalle was a true pleasure at every step. They were friendly, professional, honest, and did a great job through the entire building process and beyond. Even several years after they completed our home, Lee came right over when we were having a minor problem with draining around our chimney.  He personally took a look at the problem and had it cheerfully and promptly corrected with no charge and no hassle. We would absolutely build with Nalle Custom Homes again, and even our 9-year old son has said, "When I grow up, I want Lee to build my house!"

We chose Nalle Custom Homes to build our home after extensive research.  I interviewed fourteen builders and got bids from four.  We had our lot and our blueprints before we began the process.  Their bid was not the cheapest or the most expensive but after our conversations and my research, I felt that NCH would build the house we wanted!  After the process, I feel confident in our decision to go with NCH.

I cannot sing their praises often enough.  Everyone, from Tilghman to Owen to our superintendent was always professional.  It took about 8 months from signing of the contract to us moving in to our new home (on Christmas Eve).  One of the best things I found during the process was that NCH had some suggestions for improvements on my plans, which definitely worked!  They treated me with respect all along the way and really understood I was the customer and that it was my husband’s and my home.

With any project this involved, there will be issues but every issue was handled until I was satisfied.  The Nalles made sure we were happy always.  Dealing with City of Austin can be time consuming and definitely caused some delays but the Nalles made sure that the house was completed when they said it would be and on budget.  They were mindful about our budget and kept us well informed all along the way.  We have the house of our dreams with the dollars we wanted to spend.

We love our new home and we have not had any problems that have not been fixed by the reputable sub-contractors NCH uses.  I actually spoke to some of their subcontractors before signing the contract with them to make sure the Nalles were reputable.  I also did research on their subs to make sure they were reputable.  All along the way, time and time again, people told me how good NCH was.  After finishing our home, I am now one who can say how good they are!

We all know people that say that they would never build a house again; I wouldn’t hestitate to build another house with the Nalles.  Of course, I don’t need to since I love the house they already built!
